It would be a tragedy to waste a full page for just one bit of contact information, so what better way to fill
it than with some fascinating (yawn) history.
This web site originated in Prince George in May, 1996 with the assistance and encouragement
of several organizations including Tourism Prince George (TPG), Community Futures and the Chamber of Commerce. During
this period TPG staff provided the data entry input while I managaed the administration side of things.
In 1999 I was transferred (my day job was an air traffic controller) to Kelowna. Coincidentally, a short time later a
structure change at TPG resulted in the termination of their data entry activities.
With the kind generosity of ABC Communications (See hosting link below.) I managed to maintain the data entry and administratoin of the Prince George site with the intention of
creating a mirror site in Kelowna.
In 2007 ABC Communications extended their generosity once again
by offering to write the background scripting for the Kelowna site at a very reasonable price.
This is the result, although there is much room for improvement on my part.
It is my goal to have a data entry person in both cities.
In the mean time I hope you take advantage of the information on the events presented here and make a point
of trying something new in the days and weeks ahead. Both cities have a lot to offer as a result of the many
dedicated organizations and venue operators who make them all possible.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I welcome your comments.
